Helping dogs find their forever homes

Riley came to our rescue from a very high kill shelter in Southern Illinois, he was scared and very skinny but in just a few weeks he has gained weight and has become very confident. He is currently living with his foster dad and has learned so many things. He is smart, affectionate, and very eager to please with the most beautiful coloring of browns/bronze/red. He loves to go on walks and is getting better everyday learning not to pull. He is house broken, crate trained (though he doesn’t like them, he does howl for a few minutes but then settles down, he wont do well being crated for long periods of time) and loves to run. He is very friendly with people and other dogs.He has been around older children, but not with small children. He will need an experienced owner due to his breed. Riley is very high energy and will do best with an energetic family. FENCED IN YARD IS A MUST. Due to his high prey drive, we would not recommend a home with cats.
